The Short Version
Your files never leave your device. FileChange processes all conversions entirely in your browser using client-side technology. We do not upload, transmit, store, or access your files in any way.
What Data We Collect
FileChange does not collect personal data. No account, email, or registration is required. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics (such as page-view counts) that never include file contents, file names, or personally identifiable information.
How File Conversion Works
The browser reads your file locally with the File API, then processes it with client-side libraries (Canvas API for images, FFmpeg.wasm for video and audio, pdf-lib / PDF.js / mammoth.js / SheetJS for documents). The result is generated in memory and downloaded directly — no file data is transmitted over the network.

FileChange uses only essential cookies to remember preferences such as dark mode. No tracking, advertising, or cross-site cookies.
